During the period 2003 – 2013 ESRF became the International partner of IFP, the Programme focused in supporting a number of potential leaders for social justice from marginalized communities, to further their higher education at Master’s and Doctorate levels so that on their return, they would then address the many social injustices existing in their marginalized communities.

The programme managed to recruit and award scholarship to more than 4,300 candidates based on their local community involvement and commitment, the alumni returned with much desired knowledge and expertise necessary for enlisting local responsiveness and bringing about solution to the prevailing societal problems within their communities.
