
Mr. Abel Lawrence Songole
Head of Commissioned Research
Mr. Abel Songole is an economist cum researcher specializing in economic development and finance. With over 10 years of experience in socio-economic policy research and advisory services, Mr. Songole has made significant contributions in evidence-based public policy decisions and knowledge advancement in areas related to agri-food systems, rural development, poverty and inequality, public institutions, and governance.
He is currently the head of the Commissioned Research Department tasked to oversee the planning, implementation, and management of commissioned research projects and therefore further contributing to the realization of the Foundation’s mission.
Mr. Songole holds MSc. Economics and Finance for Development from the Bradford (UK) and Mzumbe Universities.
