ESRF organizes a 3rd National Reference Group of PACT-EAC Project.
On Friday 17th March 2017, the Economic and Social Research Foundation organized a one day meeting for members of National Reference Group of PACT East Africa project, which attracted various stakeholders from the government, trade organizations and private sector.
The meeting was officiated by Mr. Leo Lyayuka, Assistant Director, Marketing Information and Research, from Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment. Objectives of the meeting were to launch and discuss an important output of the project, a report titled ““Agro-industrial Development Policies – what nexus to climate, food security and trade?
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Oswald Mashindano, Treasury Registrar, Ministry of Finance and Planning and Mrs. Neema Manongi, First Secretary, Permanent Mission of United Republic of Tanzania to the United Nations and WTO in Geneva Switzerland.
The word PACT stands for “Promoting Agriculture, Climate Change and Trade Linkages in East African Countries”. This is regional research and capacity building project implemented among East African Countries since February 2012.
