ESRF AND IRINGA REGION ORGANIZE VALIDATION WORKSHOP.

    The Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) in collaboration with the Iringa Region Office with the support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) today February 7th, 2020 conducted a validation workshop for its Regional Investment Guide. The event was officiated by Honorable Ally Happi – Iringa Regional Commissioner drawing 82 participants from TARURA, TCCIA, IRUWASA, NBS, TANESCO, various investors from in and out of Iringa region, Regional security Officials, DCs, DEDs and Regional Secretariat.

    In his opening speech, Honorable Happi thanked the team of experts from ESRF for good work as well as dedicating their expertise and resources to prepare the Iringa Investment Guide in a very short of time. The Regional Commissioner further acknowledged the mutual cooperation shown by different stakeholders from ward to regional level saying the Guide has represented the views of people of Iringa Region.

    In attendance were Honorable Happiness Senneda- Iringa Regional Administrative Secretary who also expressed her gratitude to the ESRF Team and applauded UNDP for supporting the development of Iringa Investment Guide. The validation workshop featured a presentation from the Team of experts from ESRF led by Dr. Ngowi, Dr, Nkuba and Mr. James Kasindi who chronologically presented a draft of Iringa Investment Guide for comments before the finalization of the document.
