    In October 16th, 2012 the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) in collaboration with NEPAD Agency and the UNDP Regional Service Centres for Africa have conducted a validation workshop for the Tanzania country profile. The Tanzania Country profile is meant to provide input into the development of the Africa Capacity Development Report (2012, Africa-CDR).

    The Validation workshop was held at the Economic and Social Research Foundation Auditorium and officiated by the Executive Direct of ESRF Dr. Hosena Bohela Lunogelo. The workshop was also graced by the brief presence of the UNDP Tanzania Country Director Mr. Phillippe Poinsot ...

    ESRF Successfully Undertakes National Post- MDGs’ Development Agenda Consultations – Process for LGAs, CSOs and Vulnerable Groups

    In October 2012 the Government of Tanzania through the Planning Commission (PO-PC) commissioned the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) to coordinate and oversee the Stakeholders‘Post MDG Development Agenda Consultation process for LGAs, CSOs, and Vulnerable Groups. In response, ESRF organized seven (7) Zonal Workshops held on the 4th of December 2012 in Mwanza, Shinyanga, Dodoma, Mbeya, Arusha, Mtwara and Morogoro. Subsequently, three additional consultative workshops were held Dar es Salaam and Mtwara to consult the vulnerable groups (Youth, Women, and the Elderly).

    Participants were LGA representatives (126 in total) from different levels such as from the regional, district, wards and villages. CSOs (84) were selected from each region representing different subject interests, such as women, people living with HIV/AIDS, the disabled, the youth, children, elderly people, rural community, orphans and widows ...     ESRF Organizes the FANRPAN Annual High Level Regional Food Security Dialogue

    The Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture Food Security and Cooperative (MAFSC) with the support from the Food Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRAPAN) organized the Regional Policy Dialogue on food security held at the White Sands, Dar es Salaam from 3rd – 7th September 2012.
